The Provo River offers a premier blue-ribbon trout fishery in the heart of Heber City, UT. Its prolific hatches provide year- round dry fly-fishing. In some areas of the Provo River there are more than 3,000 trout per mile. The Lower Provo river flows out of the Deer Creek Reservoir and offers scenic views of Mount Timpanogos. The Lower Provo provides anglers with access to brown trout with an average size between 14-18 inches. The Provo is great for beginners as well as seasoned anglers.

The Weber River is 30 minutes northeast of Heber City, UT. This river tends to be less crowded with a prolific caddis hatch in early spring and summer. The Weber River provides anglers with access to brown trout and rainbow, with an average size of 16-18 inches. With easy wading access this river appeals to all angler levels.

This river is just a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Heber City and is well worth the drive with an average size fish of 18-22 inches. This unique fishery has a kokanee salmon run that swim from the Flaming Gorge Reservoir in the fall. This river is for experienced anglers that are looking for that trout of a lifetime.
