Ben’s passion for the sport has grown over the years. He is the owner of Fish Heads Fly shop in Heber City, Utah. He is a respected guide in the area, guiding on the Provo River as well as many other local fisheries. His love of fly-fishing spans from dry fly fishing, to swinging flies for steelhead and wading the flats in salt water. His quiet and kind nature has become his calling card. Ben enjoys sharing his knowledge of the sport, but also the respect of nature, the environment and public lands

Tym Davidson

Tym grew up in Sacramento, California and currently lives in Park City, Utah. He loves to fly fish and tie flies just about everyday he can.  He loves hanging out at the shop and talking fly fishing, streamer fishing is everything to him.

Curtis Lindley

Curtis was born and raised in East Texas. He spent his early years enjoying the outdoors of the Ark-La-Tex region with his grandfather and father. While on a road trip in his early twenties, he fell in love with climbing in the Eastern Sierra and decided to stay. Desperately needing a rest day activity from climbing full time he began fly fishing. However, it was not long before he wanted to make it his life’s pursuit. He moved to Utah so he could better access the productive waters of the mountain west. When he is not guiding you will find him climbing with his wife Tara, or fishing the South Fork of the Snake, or Green River. Curtis loves to have fun and is committed to providing his clients with a memorable experience. Combine that with his work-ethic, and it makes for a great time on the water.

Mike Howard

Mike grew up in the shadows of the Wasatch Front.  His love for the outdoors and athletics has been with him his entire life.  Mike played and coached baseball at the University of Utah before opening a fly shop and guide service with his dad and brother Marty in 1986.  Mike was one of the very first fly-fishing guides on Utah’s Green River, (way back when all the roads were dirt).  He has fished for trout in Alaska to Chile and Argentina.  Has thrown flies in the Salt of Belize, The Bahamas, Christmas Island, and many other countries where the flats are crystal clear.  He loves his trout and salt water fishing, but his real true love is having his 13’3” Winston in his hands swinging for steelhead.  Strike up a conversation with Mike in the shop about steelhead and he will try to talk to you about it all day.  You will find Mike mainly in the shop, “I love the great people that come into our shop to talk fly fishing”.  His knowledge of fishing the Provo, which he started back in the late 70’s is extremely valuable to all of us.  His two main fishing partners are his two kids McKay and Sofie.  Steelhead camp in the fall is his church and along with family and friends is his favorite place to be swinging flies.  Mike also coaches baseball at Park City High School in the spring.

Jim O'Neal

Jim O'Neal has been fly fishing the Provo River for 50 years. He started fly casting and fly tying tying at 14 and caught trout with dry flies. Jim teaches fly casting with techniques he learned from personal instruction by Lee and Joan Wulff. His demonstration casting work at sport shows brought him into contact with Steve Rejeff, who helped him with fine points of tournament casting. Jim loves teaching fly fishing; he has a You tube channel - Jim O'Neal Fly Fishing- with almost a hundred videos taken at the Provo River.

Todd Kramer

West native Todd Kramer’s entanglement with fly-fishing began in northern Nevada during his adolescent years. His passion continued to grow after moving to Utah for University where he found himself fishing the blue-ribbon waters within the state. Todd began guiding to share his knowledge, enthusiasm and love of the sport with others. His approach to guiding has been inspiring others for years and has helped them ignite their own passion of fly-fishing. Todd has been guiding for Fish Heads since it’s birth and has our area waters on lock. He is a proud member of the R.L. Winston Pro Staff.

Gracie

Gracie is the shop dog and if you have been into Fish Heads Fly Shop you are familiar with the greeting service of Gracie Diamond.  Gracie loves swimming in the river but even more loves sleeping in the shop and dreaming of days on the river.
